Serene Nights

Serene nights, soft winds
spent deep in contemplation,
often trying to overcome
the sadness felt deep within


Soft winds, disperse them
across the countryside
carrying hopes, dreams, simple desires,
of renewed hope, respect, prayers


for those who seem to be forgotten,
for those who need support.
to bring about change, peace,
to lives once lived in harmony,


May they be lived like that once again
fearing not the night
grateful for every day
Praising our Creator come what may
