Whilst I  tell you of our customs and there are many, albeit the world over, children anxiously await
the arrival of Santa Claus, in our custom its St.Nickolas

Decorating the Christmas tree was a task for the whole family, with Dad placing the angel on top .

Whilst the tree was being decorated, Chrismas Carols were sung it fills one with awe as we await our Saviour's Birth.

The tree was never decorated until the 23rd of December,it filled us all with an air of expectancy,
Silently we awaited the birth of our Saviour in our hearts the silent prayer for,

"
Peace on Earth, Goodwill to all men"

The tree was never taken down until the feast of the 3 kings on the 6th January.

Who's counting?   Looking around..
Gosh its me *smile*
It is that special time again, that we have
waited for the whole year !

Being with loved ones and friends, decorating, baking, and of course, the wrapping of gifts, seeing the delight on the faces our children, with eyes aglow, happiness and peace abides.

What a truly magnificent sight.
       The sacredness that is so
        very special in
       "the spirit of Christmas"
       "The birth of Our Savior".
